We are only two rounds in and the clubs are already jockeying for positions for the final 8.

Market Talk

For the second week in a row, Fremantle’s Michael Barlow and Melbourne’s Jordie McKenzie were the week’s biggest gainers. Both players along with Sydney’s Mark Seaby, posted gains of well over 100% for the round. Fremantle’s Garrick Ibbotson along with Hawthorn’s Campbell Brown were this week’s biggest losers. Their less than serviceable performances negatively affected their share prices.

The clubs that promised so much in the pre-season competition, Western Bulldogs and Fremantle, not only won their respective games in impressive manner, but were this week’s biggest gainers. The clubs that were this week’s biggest flops on the other hand, were two finalists from last year, Adelaide and Carlton. Both clubs’ share prices were driven down and look to be pretty good value as both clubs would surely go in as favourites in their upcoming matches.
