Market Talk
Hawthorn’s Jarrod Kayler-Thomson and Western Bulldogs’ Brodie Moles were this week’s biggest gainers as both players scored over 100 ranking points for the round. West Coast’s Mitch Brown and Melbourne’s Colin Garland both had relatively quite games and lost over 35% of their share value following the weekend’s round of matches. Both players are now hovering around the $1 mark and could be handy pickups for any seasoned traders.
Looking at the clubs, premiership contenders Western Bulldogs and Collingwood posted the biggest gains for the round. Both clubs were impressive on their way to massive victories that all but assured their share price would rise significantly. On other side of the spectrum, 2008’s grand finalists Geelong and Hawthorn were this week’s biggest losers as both teams were somewhat upset by their opposition.
